Govee’s new system uses two independently controlled lighting zones within each light head. In practical terms, homeowners can use one part of the light for one color while another color or effect appears in the second section.
For example, a roofline could combine a warm white tone with another color without requiring two separate rows of lights.
This can also be used for gradients and other layered effects, giving the lighting a different appearance from conventional single-layer permanent outdoor lights. Govee refers to this technology as its ColorZone Solution.
It is a relatively simple change to explain, but it could make a noticeable difference in how permanent lights are designed on a home.
AI Is Also Part of the New System
Another addition is AI Lighting Bot 2.0.
Instead of manually creating every lighting scene, users can describe the type of effect they want and have the system generate a lighting setup.
The AI can work with the two lighting layers independently, which means a single request can produce different effects in the upper and lower portions of the lights.
